About the author

Dr Eoin Lenihan is an independent journalist and researcher, born in the west of Ireland and raised during the Celtic Tiger years. He holds degrees in History and Archaeology from NUI Galway and a doctorate in Pedagogy from the University of Augsburg. He lives in Germany.

He worked as a field archaeologist at the height of the boom and has written that watching sites such as the Hill of Tara and the Hill of Allen damaged for “progress” first alerted him to the risk to Irish identity. His writing has appeared in outlets including Quillette, The European Conservative, Gript and The Federalist.
